Newsletter September - October 2016

This free occasional newsletter is published by EMR Aware, a group of concerned citizens based in Northern NSW Australia. It is intended to provide up-to-date information on the health, environmental, and social impacts of modern electro-technologies. This is done in the pubic interest to encourage a fair and balanced discussion of the topics at hand. Particular attention is devoted to content that may not otherwise be made available or openly acknowledged by industry and their Government regulators.

We invite readers to consider the scientific evidence and trending opinion on this page, and throughout prior editions of our newsletter. There seems little doubt a tobacco-style cover-up of the adverse effects of EMR is underway by those reliant upon its profitability or surveillance potential. NBN held a "community consultation" on 8 September for a wireless internet tower at Coorabell Road, Coorabell NSW. They had already obtained a Lease for the proposed site, reportedly assuring the landowner his neighbours would be grateful for the faster internet. This is a 50 metre high, lattice tower designed to support multiple services. The NBN sometimes claims their towers are a "complying development" and therefore no development application needs to be submitted to local Council. However, if the proposed site has rural or environmental zoning, this is not necessarily the case. Their "company policy" asserts that only a resident account holder can refuse, and not the property owner per se. However, in spite of prolonged correspondence, Origin has failed to provide us with any legal basis that allows them to over-ride the Freehold rights of the actual Title holder.
