This free occasional newsletter is published by EMR Aware, a group of concerned citizens based in Northern NSW Australia. It is intended to help provide up-to-date information on the health, environmental and social impacts of modern electro-technologies. This is done in the pubic interest to assist a fair and balanced discussion of the topics at hand. Particular attention is given to content that may not otherwise be made available or openly acknowledged by industry and their government regulators.

There seems little doubt a tobacco-style cover-up of the adverse effects of EMR is underway by those reliant upon its profitability or surveillance potential. Phone Tower Complaint - Legal Action

Residents of New Farm QLD are opposing plans to install a mobile phone tower near homes and a school. Louise Brosnan, a diagnosed EHS sufferer, has engaged Barrister Ray Broomhall to lodge a Criminal Complaint based upon the Peace and Good Behaviour Act and the legal definition of "assault". The latter includes exposure to "electrical force", or even the threat to do so. The Telco has been summoned to appear in court on 16 June. If this action is successful, a restraining order may be issued, thus establishing a valuable precedent. The above Notice states:

• Board members who voted for keeping the Wi-Fi are now personally liable if a child is harmed by the wireless radiation exposures.
• They could be sued for "willful blindness", "child negligence" or possibly even charged with "reckless endangerment of a child", of which the latter carries criminal penalties.
  
• The BOE is held liable for violating "Open Government Law," by misusing "Executive Session" option designed to keep public agencies' court strategies private when litigation is in process. The Board apparently disbanded the Wi-Fi Task Force and denied access of the minutes of that meeting to the public. The BOE then stated "the efficacy of the group" was the reason for disbanding it.

Note: EMR Aware does not endorse the terms "Electro-hypersensitivity" or "EHS". They incorrectly imply that the adverse biological effects of EMR are confined to an abnormal segment of the population. This has several prejudicial consequences. By definition, EHS personalises the disorder instead of treating it as the result of environmental toxicity. Sufferers may thus be conveniently denied a reasonable expectation of health. Additional to this, legal remedies such as "private nuisance" are untenable when the Claimant is deemed to be unusually sensitive.

There is also a campaign in motion to classify EHS suffers as self-deluded or mentally incompetent. The following is from an affadavit by a 76 year old woman who alleges she was forceably sedated in a major Australian hospital after declaring she was EHS and expressing a wish to leave.

13. My Medic Alert bracelet also has “EHS” printed on it to indicate this diagnosed condition. Refer Appendix A.

14. I then stated to the doctor that the EMR being emitted from the fluorescent lights above my head was causing me excruciating pain, and that I would have to vacate the building.

15. After departing the Triage area, I walked some 15 meters away from where Nurse #1 was seated towards the main entrance, when I was suddenly attacked from behind by two male nurses whom I refer to as Nurse #2 and Nurse #3.

16. Nurse #2 grabbed my right arm rather viciously in his attempt to restrain my exit that eventually caused severe bruising to occur, which has remained apparent 10 days later, so far.

17. Nurse #3 grabbed my left elbow and wrist and twisted my arm so I thought it was going to come out of the shoulder socket. I glared at him and he stopped twisting. I screamed out “NO!!” - being fearful that the pressure he was placing upon my elbow would break it. He did not respond to my cries for him to ease his grip on my arm. I did try to resist by trying to hold myself against the wall but my cries had no effect. There were 9 witnesses of this. This twisting has caused severe pain to exist in an area covering my left shoulder to my chest ever since together with a bruised arm. Refer to the photograph in Appendix B.

18. Nurse #2 and Nurse #3 escorted me back to the doctor’s location where I was placed in a chair under the fluorescent lights. I again tried to leave the building after stating that I could no longer take the radiation, and I was leaving. After rising from the chair I was then restrained into a gurney by hospital staff securing both of my arms and legs to it. Upwards of 9 nursing staff witnessed these events.

19. The doctor then informed me I was being placed under the Mental Health Act and was not permitted to leave.
